Louis has an intuitive ability to create from an array of fabrics and beads. Travelling to every corner of the globe, he sources the most incredible trimmings such as hand-embroidered fabrics, antique embellishments, porcupine quills, feathers and semi-precious stones. He pushes the boundaries of his craft further and further, from acid burnt quills, to hand dipped painted resin flowers and embroidered feathers. One of his most spectacular creations is the "Chapeau d' Amour", a £1.5 million hat made from a rare weave of platinum fabric studded with diamonds.
